Dr. Bhagavan Antle has also featured within Renaissance Faire as well. Previously Samson the liger and Sudan the liger were part of the Renaissance Faire during 1990s. Both the ligers had a huge history and they also weighed well over 900 pounds as well. Whereas; recently Hercules the liger, and his brother Zeus the liger has also become a regular part of the Zoo at Renaissance Faire festival in Virginia. The presence of liger within Renaissance Faire, makes a huge buzz across USA, and especially within Virginia.

If you will ever be the part of Renaissance Faire Zoo segment, your experience with the ligers will be very unique. You will notice that there will only be tents kind of environment rather than ligers put in the cage. Liger will be sitting on a long wooden stool, while you will be invited to touch the liger and even have photographs with the liger as well while putting a gentle hand across the back of the liger. So this does indicate that ligers at the Renaissance Faire Zoo are rather tamed. But liger experts believe that ligers have a very mild personality which they inherit from their mother (female tiger), and that’s the key reason they are less aggressive to the people.

Liger related events which have been captured so far through online records include Samson the liger which was once part of the Renaissance Faire. Samson the liger lived for more than 15 years. We do have a snapshot of 1990s, where Samson the liger was sitting on a big stool, while the visitors happily had photographs with Hercules the liger. Hercules the liger has also featured within Renaissance Faire Zoo in Virginia throughout 2000s along with Dr. Bhagavan Antle. Dr. Antle is a liger expert who has more than 30 years of experience with ligers and other big cats.
