D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary is also known as a Liger Zoo! Why? Because this liger zoo has a at least one liger at its zoo premises. If you are living in Missouri, and you have a greater passion for ligers, then D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary very much fulfills your passions and desires. The exact address of this liger zoo is “D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary, 6000 North Creasy Spring Road Columbia, Missouri (MO) 65202, USA”. This liger is more like an animal sanctuary, therefore; majority of the animals at this zoo rescued from abandoned and cruel owners and authorities who no longer take care of their animal. The Liger at this liger zoo is also being rescued as well. This Liger Zoo has at least 100 big cat species and many other animals at its premises.
The only liger at D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary is a female Liger. The name of that Female liger is Fiesty the Liger. Fiesty is a massive big cat and it easily weighs around 500 to 600 pounds. Female ligers usually weigh less than the male ligers, similar to tigresses and lionesses who also weigh less than their male partners. However; being 500 pounds in weight means that you are still as huge as a biggest of big cats like tigers and lions. Fiesty the liger was rescued from a nearly abandoned source, because its previous owners were no longer able to take care of Fiesty the liger. Fiesty was brought to the zoo during the year 2013 and until now Fiesty the liger is enjoying its life at this liger zoo.
D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary previously wasn’t a public entity. It was only serving as a rescue center and public access was rather cut and perhaps that this liger zoo has never come to the notice of any news publication. However; until recently its opening during 2014, to the public views also created a lot of news buzz and news regarding presence of the ligers and other big cats at D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary at Missouri. They have a very nice story, about how they started caring of animals. Their story states that someone once brought 3 squirrels at the zoo and they were half dead, and they took care of them and saved their life and that’s how they became passionate about saving animals. Today they are saving hundreds of abandoned animals across USA and one of their animals is a liger as well which we have been discussing throughout this website.
Fiesty the liger lives a very peaceful life at D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary. Fiesty the Liger lives in a reasonably huge enclosure. Her enclosure is shared by another female tigress as well. Both of these big cats have a great love for one another. The enclosure in which Fiesty the liger lives is very safe for the visitors to view as its fences are high and strong enough, therefore; no big cat can penetrate out of them. Fiesty the liger and its female tigress partner both look very healthy in their enclosures, which strongly suggest that both of these ligers are well-fed and properly care. Paramedical staff is also available at the zoo, so if anytime a liger or any other animal at this zoo gets sick or ill, they are always available to serve.
The biggest liger related event might well be the arrival of the Fiesty the liger at D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary. Fiesty the liger was rescued, and according to D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary, its previous owners had almost abandoned her, until she discovered D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary and she got an awesome life to live. No further publicity features have been associated with Fiesty the liger, and this liger zoo also hasn’t made any considerable effort for it as well. Therefore; they need to publicize their liger and should make it part of the News Buzz within online information and other media sources as well.
This Liger Zoo is new and it has started just recently as of 2014. People do not know much about this zoo, as previously D&D Farm Animal Sanctuary had no public access at all. Now people have come to know about this zoo and we have classified this zoo as a Liger Zoo which means that people will visit and will further give their response back at us.
