Currently this liger zoo has only one liger at Pietermaritzburg. The name of this liger is Deliha the liger. Deliah the liger is a male liger and whether this liger is born at this liger zoo, it still remains a big mystery and a big question mark. However; if we take a look at the weight of this liger, it weighs around 800 to 850 pounds in weight. According to many witnesses, this liger is shy of public and cameras, and it rarely comes near the fence boundaries of its enclosure. As a result of that, the visitors are unable to take much of the snapshots about this liger at Natal Zoological Gardens. According to the owners of the zoos, this liger zoo is the only Zoo across African continent to have liger at its zoo premises. However; in our study about ligers presence in zoos, we did witness that a male liger also lived in Libyan capital Tripoli. Therefore; this claim of the Natal Zoological Garden Liger Zoo might not be true for Africa.
